I was craving bbq and this place delivered with amazing ribs and the most wonderful collard greens it was like my taste buds were having a party. The service was amazing and quick having my food to go! The ambiance could've been better but overall was a 4 star for me!!
Fattys BBQ and Soul food has amazing BBQ ribs! Best I've had in a long time! Located in St. Pete Florida. Highly recommend for barbecue and soul food, order for takeaway, outside picnic tables if you can't wait to get it home! Super nice owner and family! Hope to go back soon for more mouthwatering food. A gem right in my backyard! Wonderful food made lovingly by beautiful people. The sauce was unique and delicious mild or hot.

**** Review 155 **** This is a carry-out BBQ Joint, but there is a picnic table outside. In the short time it takes to get your order you can feel right at home. The service is phenomenal! Staff is friendly and very proud of what they do. When you order the spareribs, you get the whole slab! Most BBQ Places like to trim the ribs so they can have a more rectangular piece. Here they will cut the ribs per bones, but it's the full slab. I had their mix bbq sauce which I believe was a mix of a Carolina gold and spicy bbq sauce. Had a great sweet flavor with lots of heat. They have a great number of items in their menu, and I'll be back to try them all. So if you're looking for wonderful family owned BBQ joint, then you need to try this place.
Every once in a while a great recommendation comes along. A friend referred me to Fattys BBQ and Soul Food near downtown St. Petersburg. Fatty's is a local joint the delivers big flavor for reasonable prices. Fatty's is carry out only so be warned if you were looking for seating. Fatty's does make up for it with their food. We ordered the chopped beef and rib dinner. Both meals come with a drink and 2 side dishes. If you like a little extra heat with your sauce, Fatty's can make it happen. Both meals were amazing moist, perfect smoke and seasoned. We tried the collard greens, coleslaw, tuna macaroni salad and green beans and were out of this world. Highly recommend Fatty's BBQ and Soul Food, you won't be disappointed!
PLEASE don't sleep on this awesome bbq spot. IMHO, this is the best bbq in the St. Pete/Tampa Bay area. There's no assembly line or meat sitting out under a heat lamp. When you order, expect to wait 10+ minutes for some of the best flavor you've ever tried. This is a call ahead & takeout kind of place, but there's a seated waiting area too. I wasn't sure what to expect walking in, but the staff are just so confident and personable. They handed me their card, knew all the allergy information I needed, and gave me my food in great condition. If it tastes this amazing after a 10-minute drive home, what would it taste like if this place ever evolved into a sit down or food truck operation??? Originally, I wondered if the product was worth the price. IT IS. I spent $14 on a half chicken dinner + two sides. It also came with toast and a drink out of their cooler.
